I attended the University of Washington and continued my education at The Burnley School of Art / Art Institute of Seattle where I graduated in graphic design. After working for four years as an artist, I returned to my first love . . . flowers!

I established Ring Around the Rose, a professional, in-home design studio in 1988. I was an experienced florist & had already worked for 10 year as a designer at Ballard Blossom Shop during high school and college. At he time, studio florists were just beginning to emerge and it was a new concept to be an independent designer. I saw that in traditional flower shops, brides were limited to what the delivery drivers could set up. I decided that I wanted to provide service and quality beyond the expected and in doing so, built a business that has been recognized for 20 years.

I began my independent floral career as the in-house florist for Seattle Golf Club. There, I was encouraged to come up with unique ideas for their numerous themed events. (One year, we even constructed an indoor forest with 100 live trees!) I loved the freedom to bring these events to life.

Since then, brides, consultants and wedding venues, have referred me for my reliability and creativity. I listen carefully to your ideas and provide tremendous value for your dollar. I love to combine colors, textures and smells in artistic ways that make a moment memorable. It has been a joy to meld my passion for art and flowers into a business that I love!

Ring Around the Rose is also a member of GSFA Greater Seattle Floral Association, which promotes high standards of design and customer service within the floral community.
